River Film hosts Inholland University

Bridging the gap between the academic world and the professional working environment is a big challenge, especially in the field of Filmmaking. Over the past 6 months, we have developed an exciting partnership with Inholland University to provide hands-on work experience placements for students on their Media and Entertainment course.

To celebrate the partnership, we recently hosted 30 students and teachers for a three-hour workshop at our base in London.

Following an introduction by River Film managing director, David Groundwater, and a screening of our 2016 reel and latest films, we broke out into groups to give short presentations on our specialisms and field questions from the students. Groups were also given a tour of our office to see the studio in action.

It was a great privilege to welcome to the students and faculty staff from Inholland, and we hope the visit will be the first of many.

“We were most impressed that River Film was willing to share their expertise and most importantly their time with us. I know the students found it a very illuminative and enriching experience; as lecturers, we were pleased to hear that much of what was said by the various experts matches the skills, knowledge and attitudes that we try to instil in our students.” Melissa Duchek, International Coordinator at Inholland

“River Film has been a good friend to IMEM Inholland, and I hope we can continue our relationship into the future.” Maurice Kemper, Team Leader of Media and Entertainment Programme, Inholland
